My hand is up like a child in class, desperate for attention, because I want to say “look what I won”.
Thanks to a generous competition at For City Surfers, I went and won myself a spanking new handcrafted handplane. Isn’t she a beaut!
My very own Karl Mackie handplane
I haven’t been for a test drive yet, but with a Bank Holiday approaching I reckon a saltwater baptism is just a few days away. I’m very excited to become a member of the handplane gang!
More about the Handplane
The handplane is lovingly shaped, oiled and painted by artist, photographer and wave craft creator Karl Mackie.
Karl kindly handed over the prize in person, and it was a delight to discover he’s a down-to-earth, super friendly, surfer dad.
