Jacob Cockle, an amazing Cornish photographer and bodyboarder, drowned whilst swimming in Hayle Estuary yesterday.
It is a tragic loss and my sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.

I am sure it is NO consolation but he died in the water he loved so much so one can only hope his family take comfort that he went the way he probably would have wanted.
Yet again the cruel mistress we all sought takes another soul for her own keeping.
RIP man – never met you but your pictures tell me your were the real deal.
